Counselling Services Available

Counselling services are now available within the Hampstead Health building.

Tania Gal is a member of the Australian Counselling Association, working for “Time For Yourself Counselling Practice”.  Her professional qualifications include Diploma of Counselling (Study Major in Grief & Loss), Certificates III & IV in Disability and Certificate III in Education Support.

Tania has experience in providing counselling support for anyone experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship/family issues (or any concerns you may be holding).  The practice is a certified “child safe environment”.

Tania provides a private and confidential, non-judgmental, safe counselling environment, where you are able to work through issues and concerns you may be holding, whilst focusing on strategies and goals to help improve your mental health and wellbeing.

As well as counselling, Tania has twelve years experience working with children in varied roles in schools.  She currently works as a School Services Officer in a primary school, where she provides curriculum support to students and works with students who have disabilities, challenging behaviours, learning and/or behavioural and social difficulties.  She also coordinates an intervention program designed to help students gain confidence and self esteem, encourage positive behaviours and helps them understand how to manage different feelings and emotions.

Tania enjoys working with children, developing trusting relationships and providing a positive and safe learning environment, helping them to flourish and achieve their individual learning and social goals.

Tania has worked as a volunteer at the Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide, working with people who are homeless, assisting in the Op Shop and helping run a rental assist program for people who are seeking short or long term housing or accommodation.

Life can be overwhelming, stressful, sad, hard to manage or you may simply be going through some major changes or decisions in your life.  Everyone has a story to tell.  Through personal and life experiences, Tania has a strong passion for working with and helping people in the community to manage and improve their mental health and wellbeing.
